IBO - SIDO

The Italian Board of Orthodontics was officially established with SIDO after the first examination session which was held on the XV SIDO International Congress in Rome, from 1st to 6th December, 1999.

The Italian Board of Orthodontics has the purpose to release a CERTIFICATION OF EXCELLENCE IN ORTHODONTICS. This certification has not a legal value, but attests the quality of the results achieved during the clinical practice and wants to be a psychological stimulus for specialists to acquire more and more knowledge.

The Italian Board of Orthodontics is registered to the World Federation Board, since it has adopted the same rules and objectives set by the already operative Board, in particular the American Board (ABO) and the European Board (EBO).

The Italian Board of Orthodontics is planned every two years during SIDO Congress.
